Hi I’m Emma, one third of the awesome founding members of Green Parlour florist in Reading. We have lived, breathed and dreamed about flowers for the past 10 years.

Talk to me in the street and I will babble endlessly about flowers, my latest floral crush, my all time favourites, the perfect bloom for …. ! but putting pen to paper and telling you a little bit more about our beautiful shop is more than daunting, please bare with me!

Flowers have been a huge part of my life since I was at school. My second forays into the world of work saw me start my obsession with flora and fauna. I was lucky to work in a flower shop who’s forward thinking attitude pushed them to the top, owning multiple flower shops including one on Oxford Street, London.

Before opening Green Parlour Florist I picked up a degree in fine art, gave flowers up and began working as a manager for Gap and French Connection, but flowers were always at the back of my mind …

In 2008 with the support of Paul and Margaret, we opened the doors to Green Parlour Florist in Reading and I’ve been lucky enough to do what I love ever since. We’ve grown employing 6 people who are as obsessed with flowers as us.

We’ve worked with amazing people during this time most notably receiving a call from HRH The Duchess of Cambridge to ask if we’d kindly help with the flowers for the royal wedding. There have been many firsts … our first customers many of whom have become friends, the first wedding, the first Christmas and the launch of our flower school.

Every day we get to make people smile as our flower bouquets are delivered throughout Berkshire, Oxfordshire and beyond.
